So, after 3 days of packing and 2.5 days of loading the u-haul, we're finally on our way. A 24' u-haul, a toyota tacoma, 2 tall peeps, and an 8 lb. kitty. Holy crap. And we did it all ourselves, with the help of Rob's P's. And after all that, we finally agreed to hire movers in Texas. No way are we doin this again.
We didn't leave Boston until 3 pm...after loading the truck and cleaning since 7:30 am. Then we drove for 5 hours through 3 states- Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York. We stopped at 8 pm in beautiful Fishkill, NY- home to chain restaurants and roadside hotels. It's great to sit here and do nothing.
And last but not least...it's Rob's birthday....and what a happy one it is. ;)

Here's the comedy... I grew up in Fishkill. Irony? A "carp" growing up in "Fish-kill". Eat at the 84 Diner? An old haunt of mine.
